Remains of the Day

One  might  say  that  looking  back  at  a  distant  past  with  acceptance  provides  one  with  a  feeling  of  sweetness,  a  rare  sweetness  that  is  achieved  from  forgiveness  and  understanding.  One  feels  tenderly  of  that  being  one  has  left  behind  in  the  past.  Instead  of  begrudging  the  follies,  the  meanness,  the  miserable  existence  of  the  being  of  the  past,  you  see,  like  shafts  of  light  breaking  through  the  curtain,  the  good  that  one  had  in  oneself.

In  my  own  case  i  can  see  courage,  optimism,  and  most  of  all  "loyalty  to  purity".  This  latter  might  be  a  little  hard  to  understand  so  i  humbly  beg  to  endeavor  to  make  my  point  clearer.  I  think  this  quality  i  have  called  "loyalty  to  purity"  might  be  best  found  localized  in  a  smile--if  one  can  smile  from  the  centre  of  one's  soul  than  one  is  loyal  to  purity.  This  smile  that  i  speak  of  is  di…

Mr.Kaisingwasanextremelylovingandcaringfather.Healwaysenthusiasticallyperformedhisdutiesasafather.HeglowedwithpridewhenRokpohitasnakewithastone,helaughedforgivinglywhenLoboforgottobringbackthebicycle.Rokpo,hiseldestson,wasmuchlovedintheneighbourhood,andintheentirevillage.Themarriedwomenintheneighbourhoodoftenjoked,“Don’tyouknow,yoursoncannotjustcrywithhiseyes,hecanlaughwithhiseyesaswell.”Lobo,hisyoungest, ontheotherhandwastooemotionalandidealistic,hedidnotknowhowtogetalongwithpeoplewell.AndMr.Kaisingwastheirfather:aslongashelivedhewasresponsiblefortheirhappiness.
